Saving Your Email Signatures

You found a pretty cool pre-made email signature and you've been using it in your emails. Then what happens? Along comes an event such as a holiday, a special occasion, or even a catastrophic event such as the 9•ll attack on the U.S. Whatever the situation, you may want to change your email signature, but, you don't want to delete the one you're already using, because at some later date you might want to use the same signature again. So now you're wondering, is it possible to save the email signature that you're currently using? YES, it is.

You can save your email signature codes in an email. Sounds like double talk, doesn't it? Here's what to do:

  • Go to your signature box. Do you remember how to get to your signature box? If not, go back to the pre-made email signature tutorial CLICK HERE...review items 8 & 9 only. (You can use your "back key" to return to this page.)

  • When you arrive at your signature box, you'll see the codes for your existing email signature.

  • Your cursor should be inside the signature box, and it should be blinking.

  • Use your "arrow up" key to move your cursor to the top of the signature box.

  • Again, use your "arrow" keys to place your cursor just to the right of this HTML code: <<>html<>>

  • Use your "delete" key to delete <<>html<>>. Don't delete anything else. You only want to delete this code: <<>html<>>

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the word "done".

  • You're now at your "mail settings" page.

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and once again, click the word "done".

  • You're now at your "mail list".

  • Click the word "write".

  • You should now see your email signature coding (without this code: <<>html<>>).

  • You're almost ready to send this email to yourself.

  • "Address" this email to yourself.

  • Now, on the "subject line", type a brief description of the email signature that you are saving, such as: "kangaroo sig", "birthday sig", "hard rock sig", whatever description best fits the email signature. Keep the description brief. This will allow you to easily identify this email, a week, a month, even a year from now. Then, when you want to locate this saved email signature, you'll be able to find it very quickly.

  • Press the "send key" at the bottom of the page to send this email to yourself.

  • When the email arrives in your mailbox, open the email, and click the word "save".

  • You now have the coding for your email signature saved in the "body" of an email.

  • If you wish to continue using the signature that you've just saved in an email, go back to your signature box (review items 8 & 9 only in the pre-made email signature tutorial CLICK HERE).

  • Use your "arrow" keys to move your cursor to the extreme top left corner of the signature box.

  • Then, type this in: <<>html<>>

  • Go to the bottom of the page, and click the word "done".

  • Once again, you're at your "mail settings" page.

  • Go to the bottom of the page, and click the word "done".

  • If you want to put a new email signature code into your signature box, first, DELETE the old signature code. CLICK HERE for instructions.
